Wild Rye Founder, Cassie Abel (pictured above) started Women-Led Wednesday to inspire conscious consumerism, particularly in support of women-led brands. The annual, purpose-driven shopping holiday is held every year on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving in the U.S.

“While there was constant chatter about elevating more women into C-Suites and Fortune 500 companies, there was little being done to support brands already led and owned by women, and there was no women-led shopping holiday. I felt inspired to bring it to life myself” says Abel. Today, over 600 women-led brands are actively involved and amplifying Women-Led Wednesday.
